The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been serving Madison County since 1836. The department is comprised of deputies, administrative staff, and dispatchers/jailers. Working together and alongside fellow law enforcement agencies and first responder units, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office strives to serve the community with your safety and well-being in mind. Our fellow citizens are our priority, and we are honored to be entrusted to enforce the law and maintain order in beautiful Madison County.

ABOUT SHERIFF RONNIE BOYD

Sheriff Ronnie Boyd was sworn in to office on January 1, 2023. Throughout his 17 years of local and state law enforcement experience, he has handled matters ranging domestic disturbances, thefts, vehicle accidents, home invasions, robberies, drug crimes and many other crimes against persons and property. He is an advocate for proactive policing, focused on high crime areas and those responsible for high criminal activity.

Sheriff Boyd has been a resident of Madison County since 2014, when he moved here with his wife and three daughters as an officer with the Arkansas State Police. Growing very fond of the area’s beauty and our kind, genuine residents, he is proud to call Madison County his home.

“I believe that the most important role law enforcement plays in society is protecting people, their property, and their individual rights, which leads to law and order and a more civilized society. I also believe that law enforcement can serve many other purposes because officers frequently enter in at a time and place in people’s lives when they are hurting, in need, or are afraid. It is these times where the compassion of the officers and the community spirit truly come together to serve and make lives better for others.”
